Our table turns into a world, like the North Pole or a scrapyard, and the kids find out who needs their help.

Hands-on, messy crafting with no right or wrong way. Whatever they make becomes part of the story.

For the last 30 minutes, parents come back and play a game with their child. The ending is the one you make together.

Each child leaves with what they made, with a message from their parent tucked into it, a reminder they can hold onto.

Why Someday

Someday

For years I lived in "someday". Someday I'll get to it. Someday they will be thankful. Then I asked myself: why not make someday right now?

Someday is my reminder to stop preparing for who our kids will become, and to celebrate who they are today.

The details

Small, close, and unhurried.

Meet your host

Hi, I'm Karen.

Mum to Chloe (6). Every Someday story begins in Chloe's world, so each session suits kids her age, and your child has a teammate waiting to play.

I started in print design 20 years ago and now work in tech. AI gives me time back, and Someday is how I give that time to our community, offline and hands-on.

  • Screen-freeJust hands, stories and play. Parents can reach me by text throughout.

The space

Around our dining table

We don't have a studio with a sign on the door. We have a dining table in our living room, the same table where we eat, talk and play boardgames.

For one afternoon, it becomes somewhere else entirely, wherever the story takes us. We cover it, fill it, and let it get messy.

The living room is open, so there are no closed doors and no separate rooms. An adult is always in the room, with a second adult on standby, and kids can always see the grown-ups nearby.

Nothing fancy. Just a table, a story, and room to make a mess.

Heard about Someday from a friend?

Sessions are currently small, invite-only playdates with friends and neighbours.

Join the interest list and I'll let you know when Someday opens to more families.

I run about one chapter a month for up to 2 guest children, so it may be a while. I'll reach out when we open up.
